Choose from a selection of Melling Oil Pumps, including the M295, M355, 10295, 10296, 10355HV, M295HV, and M365, all of which are made in the USA. These pumps come in a range of configurations, including stock replacement and performance options, with varying pressure and volume capabilities to suit different engine setups.

The Melling M295HV Oil Pump is a high-pressure performance upgrade for the 689-M295 OE replacement oil pump. It features a 10% increase in pressure over the standard M295 while maintaining stock volume. The cast aluminum housing is CNC-machined and hardcoat anodized, while the cast iron cover is CNC-machined and phosphate coated. It comes with a screw-in valve plug and the optional lower stock pressure spring.

The factory LS oil pump can suffer from cavitation above 6,200 RPM, resulting in a drop in oil flow of nearly 1 GPM by 7,000 RPM. This cavitation can also aerate the oil, causing drops in oil pressure and potential oil starvation. Therefore, we recommend not shifting any higher than 6,200 RPM with a stock engine.

Engines that run at RPM's above 6,200 should use an upgraded Melling pump to prevent these issues. The higher maximum pressure can also help negate drops in oil pressure caused by the addition of an oil cooler setup. This oil pump is compatible with 4.8L and 6.0L Vortec iron block engines featuring Variable Valve Timing (VVT), but should not be used with engines that feature Active Fuel Management (AFM) or Displacement on Demand (DoD), as those require a higher flow pump, such as the Melling 689-10355.
